WHAT: Donation of R4 million (Kshs. 40 million) for IDPs

WHEN:Thursday 13 March

WHERE: Kenya Red Cross - Belle Vue, South C off Mombasa Road

TIME: 10.00 am

The South African High Commissioner, H.E Mr. Tony Msimanga will tomorrow Thursday 13 March 2008 at 10.00am, will hand over a relief consignment worth 40 million Kenya Shillings to the Kenya Red Cross, Belle-Vue, South C Off Mombasa Road. 

The 28 tonne consignment consists of 10 000 blankets; 1000 chemically treated mosquito nets; 1000 tarpaulins/plastic sheeting; 2000 water purification tablets and boxes of female sanitary wares. The total cost of the intervention is R 4 million

(Kshs. 40 Million).

The African Woman and Child Feature Service, the Kenya Archival Study Group and the Ford Foundation office in Nairobi, Kenya will hold the Preservation, Conservation and Restoration of Audio Visual Media Conference. 

The conference will be held at the National Museums of Kenya in Nairobi, from December 3rd – 5th 2008.
