16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign to generate action to end violence against women and girls.

 

The 16 Days which originated from the first Women's Global Leadership Institute coordinated by the Center for Women's Global Leadership in 1991,  starts on November 25th and ends on December 1st 

AWC will this year take part in the following activities over the 16 days:

  • Breakfast meeting with the Kenya Editors Guild ( 24th November 2014)
  • Conducting radio and TV talk shows to sensitise the public on GBV issues and  the interventions taken.
  • Production of a special newspaper covering GBV from different counties in Kenya.
