On behalf of the G10 Coalition , the African Woman and Child Feature Service will hold a media sensitization and training workshop on Land Reform and Decentralization in Kenya scheduled from 22nd - 23rd February, 2012.
The G10, a coalition of civil society organisations working on various developmental issues, is implementing a project on land reforms and decentralisation whose main objective is to create awareness around the Constitutional provisions on land that speak to issues around marginalized groups such as women’s rights to inheritance and ownership.
The workshop will provide an opportunity for journalists to review a media handbook manual on land and decentralization in Kenya developed by AWC Feature Service. It also aims to provide understanding on the Constitutional provisions as relates to land reform and decentralization from a gender perspectives as Parliament scheduled to table the Land and Devolution Bills at the end of this month.
