The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of State for National Heritage and Culture, Dr. Jacob Ole Miaron (PhD) CBS will tomorrow, 2nd February, 2010 preside over the official opening of the Audiovisual Archive Training Conference at The Panafric Hotel at 8.30 am.
The training conference seeks to equip staff working in audiovisual archives at key heritage organizations with skills of documentation, conservation, preservation and restoration of archival material in Kenya.
In view of the compiled Draft National Audiovisual Policy, the conference therefore will provide a platform to synergize the thoughts on the way forward in strengthening partnership with international stakeholders. The training is intended for people who have day to day responsibility for audiovisual materials within their organizations.
