This workshop is organized by the Media Diversity Centre, a project of African Woman and Child Feature Service (AWC) under the theme: “Voicing the Mwananchi: Reporting Ordinary People’s Concerns in Kenya.”
Dr Mzalendo Kibunja, the chairman of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission will officiate the opening ceremony.
This workshop is organized in the context of Kenya’s reform agenda. We request your attendance where we shall have speakers from the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission and the Interim Independent Electoral Commission.
The Media Diversity Centre seeks to promote the ideals of diversity within and through the media by generating news features from marginalized areas and giving a platform to community issues that do not get highlighted by the mainstream media. We work with over 50 correspondents based in seven content centers in marginalized areas across the country.
