What:Official Launch of the "Media Barometer-Kenya Report" and of "The Kenya Media Vulnerabilities Study"

When: Wednesday 24th November

Where: Meridian Hotel, Nairobi

Time:at 9.30 a.m

Who: Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES)

The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) is launching two milestone publications on the media in Kenya.

  • The Kenya Media Vulnerabilities Study
  • The Africa Media Barometer-Kenya Report

FES commissioned the two publications to examine not just the Kenyan media, but also ordinary people's expectations about it and the various constraining factors which may have affected its performance. By isolating the core points of vulnerability, both the Study and the Barometer Report affirm the complexity of considering the role of media in a changing society.
